Every genset begins with a task – and ends with a solution precisely built for it. SDT develops based on specific requirements: installation space, weight, performance, environmental conditions, class requirements.

Our designers work with FE analyses and custom foundation frame constructions. The result: compact design, low weight, high reliability – because every centimeter and every kilogram counts at sea.

Test Bench

Tested – Before It Counts

Before an SDT genset leaves the factory, it runs on our test bench – under real load conditions, fully documented.

  • More than 200 m² of modular test bench area
  • Parallel operation up to 7.2 MW
  • Water brake up to 4 MW

We do not deliver anything that we have not tested beforehand.

By accessing the engine program of our OEM partners, we are able to realize precisely the solution required for your specific application. The power range of our gensets extends from 4 kW to 4,000 kW.

Power Supply

SDT's core competence: implementable in 50 Hz or 60 Hz versions and with up to 4,000 kVA. From "keep it small & simple" to highly complex for use in international marine applications. Equipped with all peripherals and controls, SDT's gensets deliver full performance until the end of their planned lifecycle.

Super-Silent Solutions

The name says it all: these solutions are barely audible during operation. SDT's canopies and extremely dense sound insulation hoods prevent the transmission of vibrations to the ship's hull. All sound insulation solutions are exclusively designed by SDT, proven in operation, and very service-friendly despite extreme damping.

Super-Elastic Solutions

This solution offers effective protection for both the genset and the ship. Double-elastic mountings can reduce engine vibrations transmitted to the ship's hull and minimize external shock and impact loads on the genset.

Hybrid Solutions

The Innovative Solution for Your Project

The combination of engine genset and battery storage enables the execution of complex requirements for load ramps as well as voltage and frequency stability. Essentially, the prime mover can be reduced in size, as both systems can supply power for peak loads. Also available with alternative fuels or in LNG version upon request.
